About us:
The Upper Dorchester County Historical Society was organized in the fall of 2003 by a small group of individuals researching the history of Dorchester County. In January of 2004 the society received its official charter from the Secretary of States Office. In September 2016 the Upper Dorchester County Historical Society changed it's name to Dorchester County Historical Society to better reflect it's membership.
